"I was born in China and immigrated to the United State in 2002. My inspirations are drawn
from my everyday life experiences and surroundings. Human beings, cultures and customs,
personal emotions, music, languages, architectures, poems, materials, books, fengshui principles,
Chinese calligraphy and nature always inspire me in my creations. Painting and fashion design
allows me to express myself and reconnect to the world and my inner soul. I enjoy relaxing
moments of painting as well as upbeat interaction with various clients when helping them with
personal shopping and styling."

“Portrait of Lucian Freud with Horse”
Portrait painting brings out deep emotions from me, the artist. I believe that the human being is
the most dynamic and complex subject for a painter. It requires capturing the details of human
expressions as well as emotions. Techniques used in this painting were inspired by British artists
and grandson of Sigmund Freud, Lucian Freud. This painting was selected to enter National
League For Innovation Student Art Competition and awarded “Best Of Show” in Cuyahoga
Community College Juried Student Art Exhibition 2007.
“Fun of Teaching”
This painting was inspired by one of the Artist's painting teacher, Sharlene Green. Ms Green always
encourages and support students to advance their individual creative skills and explore different
techniques and materials. The Chinese Character “To Teach” is seen throughout out the whole
painting when viewed horizontally. This painting was won “First Place” in the Cuyahoga
Community College Juried Student Art Exhibition 2009.
“Masato and I in the Wild”
I attempt to covey positive energy, love, and humor expression through vibrant colors in this
painting.
“Evanescence in Kyoto”
“Not Sure Which Way to Go”
In these two paintings, I attempt to capture the isolated feeling that I felt during a trip in Japan and
then overcome it. “Not Sure Which Way To Go” is referencing the temple depicted in the movie
Memoirs Of A Geisha.
